Recently did some maintenance on a tile roof for one of our customers, this is mandatory in prolonging the life of your tile roof, clogged valleys can create dams for water to travel to places water isn’t supposed to be.

Some underlayment papers can only withstand a handful of years of continuous water before they start failing and you end up with leaks into your home causing preventable damage to sheeting, rafters, insulation, electrical, mold build up, sheetrock, and interior painting.

Our crew finished up “The Palms” apartment complex on Marconi Ave in Sacramento this last week

We changed around 1,000 feet of 1x6 Tongue & Groove lap sheet, and applied 8,500 Sq Feet of all new 7/16” OSB sheeting to one of the buildings

We used 17,500 Sq Feet of GAF - Roofing “ShakeWood” Shingles on this project with 50 O’Hagin low profile attic vents for proper attic ventilation

Tile maintenance is key 🔑 🏡 if you have concrete tile on your roof, cleaning out debris in your valley ways, dead valleys, behind chimneys and vents, water channels, and wall to roof runs are mandatory to keeping your tile roof intact for years to come, depending on the amount of trees around your home or if you live next to large areas of dirt you are very susceptible to clogged areas and need maintenance done atleast every few years, if your lucky and don’t live near these types of things you can usually get by with every 5-6 years, tile roofs can be a lifetime roof if maintained properly and checked occasionally for chips and broken tiles
