Every season has an impact on our trees and winter is no different. Freezing temps damage trees and shrubs. Did you know that when trees sap freezes it expands, putting pressure on the bark which can then cause it to crack? Dry cold soil can kill vital trees roots, leaving the tree with no water or nutrients. Strong winds is always a factor but even more when a tree is all ready stressed due to its environment.
