Somewhat of a long post, but I hope you'll take a minute to read it.
About three months ago, I had just finished mowing my own yard when I noticed an elderly woman across the street mowing a large property with nothing but a push mower.
To give you an idea, this property isn't easy to mow. It's large, grows incredibly fast, holds water in several places, and is full of ruts. Even on a zero-turn, it can be a challenge. Seeing her out there with a push mower, I knew it would take her most of the day.
So I walked over, introduced myself, and we started talking.
She told me she no longer lived at the home because she had moved in to take care of her 92-year-old father. As we talked, I told her I'd be happy to take care of the property so it would be one less thing she had to worry about.
She smiled, thanked me, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
I told her, "Nothing."
Why? I'm not sure I have the perfect answer. It just felt like the right thing to do. She already had enough on her plate, and if I could make life a little easier for someone, I wanted to do it.
Life has been busy lately as Lowe Lawn Care continues to grow, and I'll admit something I'm not proud of—I looked across the street recently and realized I hadn't kept up with the promise I made. The grass had gotten much taller than I wanted it to.
So today, I spent a couple of hours getting it cleaned up and looking good again.
Moments like this remind me how blessed I truly am.
I'm blessed with a wife who has never questioned my dreams, has followed me all over the world, and has supported every step of this journey.
I'm blessed with friends, mentors, and business-minded people who continue to pour their knowledge into me and help me build something I'm proud of.
And I'm blessed by every single person who has trusted Lowe Lawn Care with their property.
This company is still in its infancy, but my goal has never been just to mow grass. I want Lowe Lawn Care to be known for treating people right, keeping my word, and giving back whenever I can.
Thank you all for your support. I truly can't wait to see what the future holds.
