Yesterday was fun, and a typical day at SMLE. We started like any other day, wiring a giant teapot shaped building at King Richard's Faire, when the phone rang. A siding contractor on Plymouth Street had unclipped a mast before realizing that the mast held up the power lines coming from the street. The wires pulled down the mast leaving the meter socket destroyed, a burn mark on the wall and no power to the house.
We packed up at the teapot and ran right over. The team jumped into action and got the meter socket swapped out and the riser put back up with new conductors. We were even able to reconnect to the power lines that Eversource was kind enough to attach to the house for us. After coordinating with the town inspector we got it repaired inspected and powered back up in about 4 hours from phone call to power.
Then we rushed back to the Faire and had just enough time left in the day to get our conduit in the ground for inspection the next day. Even got the rough wiring finished the next morning.
