Adding some additional wattage to an existing array.

This one’s a unique setup.

It was originally installed 5 years ago and was a grid tied APsystems QS1 micro inverter setup with about 5000watts of solar.

Then about a year ago an EG4 18kpv with some batteries was added for backup and automatic islanding when the grid goes down. AC coupling was used to tie the grid tied solar to the EG4.

Then we added an additional DC string with another 4000 watts of solar to the 18kpv.

Took a bit but got it done.

This one was supposed to be an easy one. Until we found out the utility had to swap a transformer to accommodate the output.

Then we got rained out a few days too.

No matter we still got it done.
