Oakland Hope is one of my favorite nonprofits and we partner with them after each sale to donate what wasn’t sold — those items head to their resale store in Pontiac where proceeds support their local food bank ♥️ The circle of blessing. This amazing crew will make two 90 minute drives out to us to collect all the leftovers. Thank you to Rey and Clayton for showing up today with the sparkle and energy of a unicorn and allowing me to talk you into a drive to the family lake house—ensuring your truck was FULL heading back to Pontiac. ♥️

Sometimes the end of one family’s chapter becomes the beginning of someone else’s. ♥️

That’s one of the most meaningful parts of what we do at Pure Green.

When an estate sale ends, our work isn’t over. We do a lot of quiet giving behind the scenes—working hard to keep usable items out of landfills and intentionally putting them into the hands of people who need them.

We call it the circle of blessing.

And this time, we’re inviting our village into it.

Mama K is a hardworking single mama raising four children who is rebuilding after transitioning out of a shelter.

Our current family has generously offered to donate an entire U-Haul of furniture, beds, artwork and household goods to help furnish her home.

Pure Green is donating the U-Haul and our team’s labor. Next Friday, we’ll deliver everything and spend the day getting her family completely set up.

Not just delivering furniture. Making a house feel like home. 🏡♥️

And everything usable that remains will be donated to Oakland Hope in Pontiac, where resale proceeds help support a local food bank.

We’ve fulfilled almost everything Mama K needs—but there are a few things left on her wish list.

So I’m coming to my village. ♥️

One family closing a chapter.

This sweet beauty stalked the sailfish all weekend. On Sunday, when it was still here she made me an offer and I was as excited as she was! Her love for this was infectious and I know my client would have loved it!! Thank you James for loading her up!

Our Fill-A-Bag section is basically a $30 treasure hunt 🏴‍☠️

Here’s how it works: you buy a bag for $30, then you dig. 🪎

This is all the stuff that is still way too good to throw away, but maybe doesn’t need its own fancy little price tag. Kitchen gadgets, linens, books, random useful household stuff, little decor, weird finds, vintage odds and ends… and every once in a while something surprisingly good sneaks in there too. I literally tossed a Neiman Marcus toiletry bag in the other day.

It is NOT organized. We add to it constantly. There may be boxes. You may have to dig. That is 100% the point.

And this part is important: we don’t price Fill-A-Bag items individually. The whole fun of it is finding something great buried in there and realizing it’s part of your $30 bag. If we start pulling out the “good stuff” and pricing it separately, then it stops being a treasure hunt — and honestly, that ruins the whole idea.

So if you find something amazing in there, congratulations. 😂 You found the treasure. Put it in your bag.

You fill your bag with as much as you can fit. And no, we are not standing there with a ruler trying to catch you. If your bag is packed full and you’re carrying one extra thing out with it, I am probably going to be just fine.

It’s fun, it keeps perfectly useful things out of the dumpster, and you seriously never know what you’re going to find.
