Finished up this custom deck for a returning client — always a good feeling.

Final details, including cable rails and stairs, are scheduled for completion once temperatures allow this spring.

We recognize that it has been a considerable amount of time since our last update. This year has been characterized by an exceptionally high level of activity. Our projects have encompassed the design and construction of a custom master closet, office, and laundry room, as well as the development of a high-energy performance connector building for a future master living suite. Furthermore, we have embarked on our most ambitious project to date: a comprehensive high-performance energy retrofit. This initiative has entailed the installation of 38 new Marvin windows, 2 new doors including a Marvin double slider, Blueskin VP 100 with Fentrim 430 tape, 2” exterior Rockwool insulation with a double strapping system, new vertical shiplap siding in Sherwin Williams Iron Ore, and a stunning 700 sq ft TimberTech Vintage Cypress Deck. While we are still in the process of completing this project, we are committed to delivering outstanding results. We anticipate concluding the year on a positive note.

While we may be slightly behind schedule in extending our New Year's greetings, due to a well-deserved respite with loved ones, we would like to wish everyone a highly successful and fulfilling year. We will resume normal operations on Monday and still have several openings available for the year. Our core objective is to increase our workforce while preserving the outstanding quality of our work. We strive to overcome any hurdles, from the initial stages to project completion. We are excited about the prospect of further growing our Bowman Built family, including both existing and new customers, as well as employees. We eagerly await your response. Our partnership with Leighton's Landscapes and Masonry led to the dramatic transformation of this backyard into an inviting oasis. To achieve this, we installed new framing, including a 22-foot long 14-inch Parallam treated beam, Trex Rain Escape, Trex Composite Decking, all-aluminum railing, a pine tongue and groove ceiling, and new Lifespan and Clear Vertical Grain Cedar trim work. Despite encountering numerous weather obstacles, we ensured the project's timely completion. As we say in the business: On to the next!

Sometimes you get the opportunity to do some really fulfilling projects that present both a challenge and an amazing reward at the end. I’d say this one really did that for us. Two of our favorite customers had been waiting a year for this project to come to fruition, and even put some work in themselves (they painted in record time and did the tile backsplash!). We truly enjoyed making these built ins for the pantry and mudroom and hope they bring as much joy to the customer as they were designed to!

Happy New Year to all! While I’ve worked with my father in construction since I was 11, 2023 was my first year operating my own business and jumping into it full time. It was a leap of faith that I have had no regrets taking! I’ve formed some amazing relationships with both clients and suppliers. I apologize if we couldn’t get back to you this year for estimates. While I’ve learned a bunch, there is still much more to learn about being an owner/operator. But I do know the foundation of this past year is a perfect setup for that continued growth.

We have added a new crew member, who will get a proper introduction and bio soon. We are looking forward to working with those who have any construction needs to be met this coming year. I’ve attached some projects from this year below! Welcome to 2024 folks!

To say it has been a hectic several weeks would be an understatement. In Plymouth, VT we removed a rotting addition, rebuilt with new framing and some beautiful Paradigm windows and a slider above for a roof deck. Board and batten siding arrives Tuesday for install. Then put a new roof on my mother’s house in between that project and a total new frame in Southern VT. That was a fire rebuild with 9’ ceilings, mudroom and bathroom with an open concept. We will also be installing Paradigm windows on that project as well. Feel free to reach out for your project needs!
