Uncle Henry’s Backyard at The Club at Lac La Belle is ready for its debut in 2 weeks- the grand opening is May 22nd!
OGM President and Course Designer, Craig Haltom, describes the layout and what to expect, like dramatic bunkering, elevation changes, and creative features you don’t see on every short course. Our Oliphant Golf Construction team, with oversight by Course Superintendent, Jimmy Cavezza, was proud to bring his vision fully to life. We cannot wait to see everyone's enjoyment out there this summer!

Last week's CMAA Communications Summit in Nashville brought together more than 150 industry professionals for education, idea sharing, and genuine connections. 💡 Leadership, First Impressions, Branding, and Tech Innovations were just a few of the topics covered, and each uniquely touches all departments in golf operations. Our Marketing Director, Rochelle, attended the 4-day conference, coming home with fresh ideas and tangible insights to help improve communications for our clients and on-site teams. We can't thank the CMAA enough for putting together this inspiring event, and a special thank you to Belle Meade, Richland, and Hillwood Country Clubs (and John Daly's!) for their Southern hospitality! 🪕

What a powerhouse gathering at the Sept. 30th GCOW Fall Meeting, hosted at the stunning Club at Lac La Belle! Our OGM President Craig Haltom took the stage, diving deep into the magic behind his design of Uncle Henry's Backyard—their epic new short course set to open next year—with insights from owner Tyler Morse and superintendent Jimmy Cavezza.

Huge thanks to the Golf Course Owners of WI for the warm welcome, Tyler & the Lac La Belle team for an unforgettable venue, and everyone who joined the conversation. One key topic was alternatives to 18 hole golf rounds through unique experiences like short courses and 3 hole loops. We're thrilled to play our part in bringing this gem to life!

Last Monday was a perfect fall day and birdie-filled blast at the 8th Annual OGM Pro-Am Championship! From -22 triumphs to Stableford stardom, the 2025 finale at Lawsonia Links (WI) was unforgettable—huge thanks to our champs, pros, and all 29 teams for lighting it up. Congrats to Matt Hartmann and the Blackhawk Country Club team on their victory. Deep bow to the Wisconsin PGA for partnering with us on this epic series finale, and to Lawsonia for hosting like legends every year!

Now that the August numbers are in, we'd like to give a shout to Bullseye Golf Club (WI) for their record-breaking golf rounds in July and on pace for a record setting year! Their previous rounds record was surpassed by over 700, a huge feat and exciting milestone for a course that's been open since 1922. With prime conditions, not a house in sight and the Wisconsin River winding along the back 9, it's easy to see why Bullseye has become so popular. Next time you're in Central Wisconsin, check it out! 🎯
