One of his favorite parts of the job? Traveling to different locations, meeting new customers, and training new team members by sharing his knowledge and experience. That moisture doesn’t always stay below the floor. Over time, it can contribute to:

Warped floorboards caused by elevated moisture

A foundation crack that looks the same month after month may not be an immediate concern. But that doesn’t mean it should be ignored.

Keep an eye out for changes like:

• The crack getting wider or longer
• New cracks appearing nearby
• Doors or windows sticking
• Gaps forming around frames or trim
• Floors becoming uneven or sloped
• Water showing up where it didn’t before

And remember, the crack itself is only one piece of the picture.

The latest forecast calls for periods of heavy rain and gusty winds across our areas, with the potential for localized flooding. Please stay weather aware, limit unnecessary travel during severe conditions, and never drive through flooded roads.

With significant rainfall, it’s also important to keep an eye on how water moves around your home. Here are a few things to check once conditions are safe:

▫️ Around your foundation: Look for pooling water near the home’s perimeter or changes in the soil around your foundation.
▫️ In your basement: Check for signs of water intrusion, damp walls, or water collecting near the floor.
▫️ In your crawl space: Excess moisture or standing water after heavy rain may signal a drainage concern that needs attention.
▫️ Watch for changes: New or worsening foundation cracks, sticking doors, or uneven floors may warrant a professional evaluation.
