This custom Modern Contemporary home is currently under construction in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. With soaring ceilings, an abundance of glass and multiple walk out balconies, visual attention is focused to the back yard pool and environment and then ultimately the lake off in the distance.

This recently completed lake house is nestled amongst the trees, on a sloping waterfront lot with stunning views to Cedar Creek Lake. The end result is an effective collaboration between the builder, home designer and husband and wife clients, where all come together to create reality from a vision.

Too much time has passed since last posting. So a quick trip to The Fields in Frisco was made to capture some of the finished, and some occupied homes built by Shaddock Homes. This PGA community has strict requirements governing the elevational styles. Styles include Craftsman, Tudor Revival, Spanish Eclectic, Texas Hill Country, French Eclectic and Modern Farmhouse.

Craftsman is one of the many styles Shaddock Homes builds in PGA, Frisco. Painted brick wainscoting, horizontal and shake shingle siding, combined with prairie glass windows and wood gable brackets add to the authenticity of the Craftsman style. The stained cedar details against the blue backdrop of adds a nice third color accent. The second floor game room overlooks the two story family room which features a towering stone fireplace that draws attention to the box beamed ceiling, not to be outdone by the large glass sliders that open up to the backyard.

New Modern Contemporary home under final design review from client. Will most likely be the first home in a new lake front community on Richland Chambers Lake in Texas. Large sliding glass doors combined with an extra deep patio will help make the lake even more enjoyable.

Client wanted to bring a touch of her Irish Catholic heritage to her home. The grey stone had to be carefully selected to replicate the old Irish church’s back in her homeland, and cast stone accents completed the look. Notice the clay pot chimney caps and beveled window recesses.

Mostly a stone exterior with brick accents, cedar header beams and shutters, cast stone columns, capped off with a tile roof all come together for this Tuscan inspired home. The stone turret provides access to a central courtyard visible from the entry hall, dining room and bedroom above.

I was going through my camera roll and came across many homes that have been designed over the years and will start posting them. This one was the third personal house designed for this particular client.

Landscaping and tie up a few loose ends and this lake house will be move in ready for its owners. Large windows in the master bedroom and gameroom, along with wide glass sliders in the family room alows for maximum lake views. Fans, heaters and retractable mosquito screens provides year round patio enjoyment.
