I recently wrapped up a fun bathroom transformation for a wonderful client out in Prosper. Every project I take on is personal, and for this one, the goal was simple: create a sleek, modern look that complements their existing dark countertops while keeping the project cost effective and built to last.
How We Made It Happen:
• Smart Material Sourcing: I installed Delta fixtures sourced straight from Moore Supply. A lot of people do not realize this, but certified plumbing supply houses carry fixtures with brass and heavy duty internal components, unlike the plastic heavy retail models you will find on big box store shelves. I always advocate for supply house quality because I want your fixtures to last for years, not months.
• Thoughtful Design & Safety: We went with a white 3"x12" tile from Floor & Decor, finished with tight 1/16" white grout lines and black Schluter trim accents for the shower. For the flooring, I always strictly follow TCNA and ANSI standards by choosing matte finishes over polished tile. Polished tiles are a serious slip hazard in wet areas, whereas matte tiles deliver the necessary friction rating to keep your bathroom safe without sacrificing a clean, contemporary look.
• The Final Details: To tie everything together, we updated the tub, hardware, towel bars, and baseboards, alongside sheetrock repairs and custom color matched cabinet touch ups.
