Wood never stops moving. It expands and contracts with the seasons for as long as it exists. A cabinet made entirely of solid hardwood would be nearly too heavy to move, and across wide panels, that natural movement can pop seams and open joints. So we use each material where it performs best. Solid hardwood goes into the face frames and doors. Furniture-grade plywood with a high-quality veneer goes into the sides, interiors, floors, and shelves, where it stays stable and keeps its finish looking the way it did on day one.

One of the most complex pieces we have ever built is in our shop right now. This entertainment center combines multiple wood species and finishes, built-in appliances, lighting throughout, granite tucked away inside, and door pulls we are making by hand for this project alone. Fitting that many features into a compact space means every measurement and every component has to line up perfectly. This is the kind of work our team is built for. When every part of a cabinet can be customized, a small space can do a remarkable amount.

Open one of our cabinet doors and you will feel the weight right away. Our door panels are thicker and heavier than what you find in most cabinetry, and they hang on the best hinges we can source: German-made, with a lifetime warranty. Hardware is only as good as the wood it is screwed into. In MDF or softer hardwoods, hinge screws loosen over time, doors begin to shift, and small problems grow with every use. The dense hardwood we use holds those screws tight, so the door you open twenty years from now swings the same way it did on installation day.

Anyone who has sanded trim in a garage knows where the dust ends up. We sand more than most shops ever will, so our finishers work on a sanding table. The top is perforated with small holes, and a vacuum system inside pulls the dust down through them as the work happens. Our crew still wears masks, but the air stays cleaner and so do the surfaces. A clean surface is where a good finish starts.
