That washer in the basement has been “going out next weekend” since 2019. This is the weekend.

Dirty Tin is holding at $0.075 per lb this week. That doesn’t sound like much until you do the math: 1,000 lbs of old appliances comes out to $75 cash, and a garage you can actually park in again.

Dirty tin covers most of the big stuff around the house: washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, water heaters, grills, lawn mowers, metal shelving and old bikes.

Before you load up, drain any fluids, unhook propane tanks from grills, and clear out food and trash.

Our free public recycling drop-off has always been about helping our community keep recyclable materials out of the landfill. Keeping it available takes everyone doing their part. ♻️
In this MB Life update, Tom addresses the illegal dumping that continues to place a growing burden on our team. For years, our family has covered the costs of providing this service and cleaning up materials that don’t belong here. We’re asking everyone to respect the rules so we can keep offering it.
🕒 Monday–Friday: 7 AM–3:30 PM | Saturday: 7 AM–12:30 PM
✅ Glass and cardboard only. Plastics are no longer accepted.
Please respect the posted hours, signs, and barriers. Never leave materials when the drop-off is closed.

Big things are taking shape in Mt. Pleasant. 🏗️

Early this morning, our CEO gave us an early look at the construction underway at our Mt. Pleasant facility, which is being transformed into a new C&D MRF. We’re excited to see this project come to life and expand our recycling capabilities.

More to come as the build continues. ♻️
