Matthews Architectural Products is honored to have helped the Pittsburgh Pirates bring the new Bucco Bricks to life at PNC Park - a lasting tribute to their fans.

Manufactured locally in Pittsburgh, these bronze panels reflect the pride, craftsmanship, and hometown connection behind every detail.

The panels were designed by world-famous baseball stadium designers and manufactured by Matthews International Corp. Each weighs 300 pounds and displays about 170 messages.

65 years ago, Bill Mazeroski made baseball history with a walk-off home run to win Game 7 of the World Series for the Pittsburgh Pirates - a moment that remains the only Game 7 walk-off home run in World Series history.

That swing cemented his place in the game and in the heart of Pittsburgh, symbolizing the grit, pride, and resilience of the city and its fans. His legacy extends far beyond a single moment, remembered not only as a champion but as a humble figure who represented Pittsburgh with quiet strength and integrity.

At Matthews Architectural Products, we were honored to help preserve that historic moment with a statue at PNC Park. Today, we join the community in remembering Mazeroski’s life, his achievements, and the lasting mark he leaves on baseball and the city he called home.
