Urban Tree LLC specializes in utilizing Pittsburgh's Urban Forest. The studio is open to the public by appointment only.

Pittsburgh is blessed with a large population of older trees that unfortunately have to be removed from time to time. Many sawmills will not touch these large urban trees and many end up having another life as mulch or firewood. Urban Tree LLC works with Home Owner's and Arborist's to utilize these trees reclaiming them with the purpose of creating one of a kind custom furniture pieces. Urban Tree

LLC, is owned by craftsman Jason Boone. Mr Boone is trained as an architect and has been woodworking for 20 plus years. He grew his passion for wood working at an early age on his family farm in Northwest Missouri, where his family would mill trees that needed to be cleared from the land.

Silver Maple console table.

These "cookie" cut slices grew in our client's beloved backyard tree. They were saved with hopes of making a keepsake. We transformed them into this console table.

The character in this maple is outstanding.

Curly! This carpathian walnut is a show stopper. Sad to see the last of this tree go, but this little side table shows it off nicely.

Welcome center countertop for Carnegie Mellons new Highmark Center building.

We reclaimed trees from the site at the start of construction and are proud to put a piece of Pittsburgh back in their place at the end of construction.
