The sturgeon moon also known as the corn moon in some regions signifies that this is the time to gather maturing crops. With all the technology there is, it's amazing that Mother Earth doesn't need to be told what to do she just knows as the moon changes.

This is the not so pretty side of farming. The late August side where there was so much rain the weeds have taken over. You want some flowers? It's a scavenger hunt. Lots of work to be done in the following week to prep the soil for next season and make early beds so the weeds don't get like this again.
