Here’s a Drywall Finishing project we completed at the beginning of the year in Pulaski, PA, that I’ve been meaning to share. 👏

At least 200 sheets of new drywall across a three story garage addition with a room on top, a two story garage, two bathrooms, and two storage rooms. A big opportunity, with plenty of challenging details and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

As much as I love being part of large, major projects, there’s something special about the personal touch of our smaller residential projects. Getting to know the people we’re working for, talking through the details, and seeing their space come together makes the work especially rewarding.

We put a lot of care into this one, from setting the corners properly to getting the finishing details right. Proud to finally share these before and afters. 🔥

After contributing to the Wilford A. Payne Medical Building in Homewood we were hand selected to return and help the team work through the final finishing details checking closely, addressing what needed attention, and finishing the project to our standards.

Proud to contribute our skills to a facility that will mean so much to this community. Being trusted to help finish it well is something we take seriously.

Maine trip officially in the books! 🦞🛠️

We had the opportunity to help finish the new Dick’s Sporting Goods location in Augusta, including the golf simulator rooms and several areas that needed some extra attention.

Great project, great local crew, and an even better learning experience. We came home with some new ideas for improving jobsite efficiency, equipment uptime, and coordination between trades.

We even found a little time for fresh Maine lobster and some sightseeing along the way!

Just landed in Maine!!

WPS was hand selected to travel to Augusta to provide supplemental manpower and support the local team on an active commercial project.

But this wasn’t just a call for more bodies.

They needed a team that could come in, understand the expectations, integrate with the existing crew, and help increase production where it matters most.

My team and I are heading straight to the jobsite now to walk the project, meet with the local team, understand exactly where the pressure points are, and get aligned on their priorities.

From there, we’ll head back to the hotel and finalize a game plan around their goals so we can come in prepared and make an immediate impact.

That’s a big part of what I’ve been building WPS around.

Not just showing up to work.

Showing up, understanding the problem, adapting to the environment, and figuring out how we can help the entire operation move more efficiently.

This opportunity is another step in that direction.

As we approach the completion of a massive 3 story water damage project for UPMC, here’s a behind the scenes view of the progress.

Restoration build-back complete âś… (Garage + Utility Room flood cut)

On this water loss project, we focused on doing the build-back the right way. Clean, protected, and finished to a standard that lasts.

What we did:
âś… Protected the floors in the garage + utility room
âś… Cleaned up the studs (removed remaining screws)
âś… Added nailers/blocking for proper backing
âś… Installed insulation
✅ Re-secured the existing “above” board (flood cuts often leave no bottom edge to fasten)
âś… Taped, applied 2 coats, then a smooth skim coat for a flawless finish
âś… Replaced the door casing
âś… Applied a fresh coat of paint on the repaired areas
âś… Final cleanup

On this water loss project, the goal was simple: keep the home protected, rebuild the damaged areas correctly, and leave everything smooth and paint ready for the next step of the restoration.

Scope:
âś… Floor protection + full dust containment
âś… Cleaned up studs by removing remaining screws
âś… Added nailers/blocking for solid backing
âś… Replaced missing drywall + patch, taped, applied 2 coats, then a smooth skim coat for a seamless blend
