TRE has officially been recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times on its 2026 list of the Largest Pittsburgh-area Private Companies, ranked by 2025 revenue with being in operation for 3 years.

TRE Construction ranked #196 out of nearly 400 private companies included in this year’s list.

NEW PROJECT ALERT!!! WE ARE.......TRE CONSTRUCTION

TRE Construction has been selected as the General Construction Contractor for the new Maintenance Building at Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport in Butler, PA

The project represents a long-planned investment by the Butler County Airport Authority to improve the airport’s maintenance and operational capabilities. The new facility will replace the limitations of the airport’s existing maintenance building, an older converted hangar that no longer provides adequate space for the equipment needed to maintain the airport and its grounds.

TRE Construction’s scope includes the general building construction and associated site improvements for the new facility. The project is being administered by the Butler County Airport Authority with McFarland Johnson serving as the Project Engineer.

Supported in part through Pennsylvania’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, the project continues the Airport Authority’s investment in modernizing Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport and providing the infrastructure necessary to support its continued growth and operations.

Progress is taking shape at the former Washington Mall site.

TRE Construction’s team is installing cold-formed metal framing for a new exterior wall, followed by metal furring and metal siding for Chapman Business Properties.

We’re proud to bring quality craftsmanship and attention to detail to another commercial project in Western Pennsylvania.

For the last 3 years, TRE Construction built its business as a self-performing subcontractor.

Now we're taking the next step.

Over the past 6–7 months, we've been transitioning TRE into a General Contractor. We employee 50+ commercial union tradesmen through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and International Union of Painters and Allied Trades starting from nothing to working as a Team to build something.

That doesn't mean we're leaving our self-perform roots behind.
Quite the opposite.

We're taking the experience we've gained in the field and bringing it to the entire project from estimating and planning through construction and closeout. So far, we won 3 out of 4 bids as a General Contractor of GC work totaling over $2M, but the key is we remain committed to being a self performing General Contractor and keeping our self perform crews working and averaging anywhere between 40 - 70 Union skilled tradesmen.

We've invested in new talent, new technology, business development and the systems necessary to support that growth.

We're still learning.

We're still improving.

The goal isn't simply to become a bigger contractor.

It's to become a better one and build better together with our Team as we are all in this together.

TRE Construction 🏗️ PROJECT PROGRESS | EBBITT HOUSE – RESTON, VA

Our team is making great progress at Ebbitt House at Reston Station, where TRE Construction is completing the full installation of the restaurant’s high-end architectural casework and millwork.

Ebbitt House is the newest concept from Clyde’s Restaurant Group and marks the first expansion of the iconic Old Ebbitt Grill brand outside of its historic Washington, D.C. location. The new restaurant is designed to bring the character and tradition associated with Old Ebbitt Grill to Northern Virginia with a more modern approach.

The highly anticipated restaurant will feature an expansive dining room, multiple bars, private dining areas, an oyster and raw bar program, and a large outdoor patio when it opens in Reston.

For our team, this project is all about the details. The extensive custom casework and millwork package plays a major role in creating the elevated atmosphere and finish expected from a restaurant of this caliber.

We’re proud to be part of bringing this impressive hospitality space to life and look forward to sharing more progress as installation continues.

TRE Construction is excited to be getting started on our latest project at The Ellis School in Pittsburgh!

Our team is mobilizing and preparing to bring another commercial construction project to life. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with The Ellis School and look forward to delivering a successful project while minimizing disruption to their day-to-day operations.
