We are absolutely thrilled to be working with the US for service here in Pisgah national Forest on the Davidson River campground expansion. WheelHouse is providing and installing all of the wood products for the project, including some of the first application of mass timber panels ever used in our region by the forest service. The mass timber panels are NLT panels, which make up the structural roof deck for 10 new bathhouses. In our shop, we have pre-fabricated all of the very complicated wood and steel trusses along with the NLT panels. We are also fabricating modular finished wall panels from custom thermally modified wood. It’s been a real pleasure working with the forest service in our local national forest.
