This pergola was beautifully built and deserved a finish that complemented its craftsmanship.

To ensure long-lasting durability, we applied a tinted oil-based primer to seal the bare wood and create a strong foundation for the finish coats.

We then applied two coats of black satin finish to match the sheen of the lattice for a cohesive, elegant look.

Seeing a well-built structure come to life with the right finish is incredibly rewarding, and we hope you love the finished result as much as we do! 🤩

This project came with a unique challenge. The steep pitch of the roof required extra care during the power washing process to ensure a thorough cleaning without causing any damage to the shingles.

The retaining walls, on the other hand, were a quick and straightforward refresh that made a big difference in the overall appearance of the property.

One of the smoothest exterior projects we’ve completed so far!

I’m incredibly proud of my team for pushing through the brutal weather and giving this project their all.

We started by pressure washing the entire deck to remove dirt buildup and any loose paint, creating a clean surface for prep and application.

The next day, we thoroughly scraped and sanded everything down before applying the first coat of solid stain to the railings, beams and decking.

On the final day, we applied a second coat of stain along with two coats of paint on the spindles for a clean, finished look. From prep to final coat, this project took three days with a crew of three.
