Removed an out of code French drain connected to sewage. I didn’t install it. Removed soil & graded two spots along the front of the home that was holding water. Installed a pallet of St Augustine. Original problem solved. Created problem solved. Rapids Parish.

This pier & beam home in Avoyelles Parish was having issues with soil under the home staying wet. 1st we had to cut some concrete that was delivering rain run off under the home to make room for our drainage system. Installed a high flow French drain around the home & one galvanized topped catch basin. These two French drains discharge into a 6 inch pipe down the hill. Rocked a parking area & called it a week.

This home in Alexandria was having issues in heavy rains. All surrounding property drains to this homes French doors. We piped in 2 downspouts into a 6 inch discharge along the city road. Then installed three 12 inch galvanized topped catch basins that are piped to a 103 gallon a minute Zoeller lift pump capable of chewing up 2 inch solids. The pump also discharges to the road. This area being covered in live oak & pine canopy was incapable of growing grass. So we covered the area in #4 limestone which can be blown off using the largest of leaf blowers without shifting.

This home in Alexandria was having issues with high water & standing water. 3 galvanized topped catch basins were installed with one going in the front yard & two in the backyard. One 6 inch pipe & one 4 inch pipe feed a 103 gallon per minute Zoeller lift pump capable of chewing up 2 inch solids. This drainage system discharges to the street. Rocked high traffic areas & around the catch basins. Cut out & repaired a section of driveway. Great job.

Multiple attempts have been made to correct erosion issues under cutting this driveway. Expansion foam filled the voids but the problem persisted. A French drain using roofing material was installed, but no help. I excavated down the troubled side of the driveway exposing the undercut edge of the driveway going down the hill. From there, I formed up one continuous footing anchored with rebar right at 12-14 inches deep on average. Concrete was mixed very soupy & worked up in steps. To get concrete pe*******on under the slab, it’s one soupy shovel at a time & one board level at a time until midway was reached on the existing slab. Nearly 6000 pounds concrete was mixed on sight. Then a high flow French drain runs along the footing & drains into a large ditch. I hand placed 17,000 pounds of gabion limestone on both sides of the driveway/ditch stacked from the bottom up. Installed one galvanized topped catch basin & repaired 5 spots where the driveway was damaged & allowing water to get under the slab.

This home on Iatt Lake was having issues with saturated soil for prolonged periods of time. The front patio was raised a couple inches to help with heavy rains & was still having problems. Then they called us. We tied in two downspouts & installed a total of 8 catch basins. This drainage system discharges through 2 six inch pipes down the hill & into the woods. The entire system is a French drain. Everywhere you see fabric or stone.

This is a double garage drainage channel with galvanized top. The channel empties into 6 inch pipe, then catches a downspout with an overflow vent. From there the drainage system connects into an over sized concrete catch basin which drains into a ditch away from the home. Also cleaned out an additional two ditches to improve drainage. Home recently had multiple large rains & performed very well.

One of the largest spring heads, I’ve came across. Property drops off into a swamp along the side of a ridge of hills. Grass will cover the exposed rock in a summer or two. This area stayed wet all year around making mowing extremely tough. Regularly getting the mower stuck with tow straps deployed. Which is not what most would expect on the side of a hill. A perfectly placed French drain dried the area very quickly. Above average no doubt.
