💧 NOTICE A CHANGE IN YOUR TAP WATER?
If your water tastes or smells a little different right now, there may be a simple explanation.
From September 21 through October 10, Pinellas County Utilities is temporarily changing its water-disinfection process from
chloramine to chlorine as part of its routine water-system maintenance program. During this period, customers may temporarily notice a slight difference in the
taste or smell of their water.
Important: This does NOT mean your water is unsafe.
Pinellas County Utilities states that there have been no indications of significant bacteriological contamination and that the water will continue to meet applicable federal and state standards for safe drinking water during the maintenance period.
But if you’ve already been thinking about improving the taste, smell or overall quality of the water inside your home, this may be a good time to learn more about your options.
