Blooming Farmstand

We are back from our summer trip and have been working on some items for the farmstand. We added in some jalapeño salt, strawberry jam, strawberry jalapeño jam, and blueberry jam. The cucumbers are coming on strong. While we were gone something took out our squash plants though, so I had to replant them again. This afternoon, I am going to make some smoked sea salt. Thank you to everyone that has supported my new endeavor. It has been a learning curve. I am used to getting plants for myself and family for the end of May. I will have to start more flowers earlier next winter for Mother’s Day. Hopefully the weather will be a little nicer next year as well. I am going to start setting out vegetable starts that I have. I have early girl tomatoes and better boys. I have a few bird house gourds at the stand as well as onions and celery. I have a few more flower starts going out at the stand.

We had a very busy weekend. We put the finishing touches on both farmstands, moved them into place, and stocked them. We appreciate Fair Shake for all of their support and encouragement. The next stressor is getting ready for Mother’s Day.

Thank you to Mr. Brightman’s class for completing my new farmstand. Now, I just have to fill it.
