Chiller Area Floor Sink Installation for Condensate Drainage 🥶

Beau gives us an overview on the chiller area and the installation of 82 floor sinks to handle condensate drainage from the chiller boxes. We ensured the floor sinks were placed in specific locations for proper indirect drainage throughout the building.

Now that the FIFA World Cup has come to a close, we had the opportunity to revisit one of our proudest achievements—Red Bull Stadium. 🇺🇸⚽

Installing Roof Hydrants for Unit Cleaning 🧼

Many don’t see this side of plumbing. Teddy explains to us the installation of roof hydrants coming off a copper line.

Adding to the current setup with a two and a half by three-quarter T and a three-quarter line leading to the hangers. These connections are being crimped and will continue down the line to the roof hydrant location, which has a long stem with an industrial hose bib.

A ball valve will be provided, and the hydrant is used to clean off units, indicated by steel cutouts for future ductwork or units.

We use Columns and String Lines for Precise Piping Measurements 📐

Teddy gives us some insight on how we use columns and a string line to get accurate measurements for installing piping, referencing our shop drawings and BIM coordination to position the main trunk line. Working smarter is everything in plumbing! 👌🏻

400 ft of Domestic Waterline with Expansion Loops, 40 feet Up on the Boom🔧

Teddy explains to us about the two-and-a-half inch domestic waterline from a boom lift, the expansion loop was called for on the prints to prevent pressure issues, especially at our 1 million sq foot project like this one, the Raritan River center.

Roof Plumbing and Gas Piping Installation for Heating Units At the Raritan River Project.

Teddy goes over some of our work needed at this massive buildings roof. Our gas piping setup on the roof, includes connections for heating units and domestic cold water for roof hydrants used to clean the units.

We don’t just do water lines. 😎

Storm Drainage Installation for Roof Leaders: Change Order and Connections at our Raritan River Project.

Teddy explains the process for the 12-inch storm drainage that is being installed for roof leaders, including a change order to extend the system from five feet outside the building to the exterior, with 55 connections, test Ts, and HDPE pipe connections. 💪🏼🔧

Managing Material Orders for a Staged Building Project 💪🏼

Teddy explained how we adapted our workflow for a building that’s being constructed in stages at our Raritan River site.

We started with some underground work as usual, but also we began with copper above ceiling on the completed half to keep the team busy.

He explains the challenge of ordering materials—normally he orders PVC for underground, then water piping, then gas piping in sequence, but here he had to buy out all piping and release it little by little to avoid having copper sitting around. He coordinates with his foreman Ivan to determine how much copper is needed and work with supply houses to deliver it as required. 🔧
