Aloe 'Crimson Dragon' (PP32,644) was developed by plant breeder Renee O'Connell for Altman Plants. Created in 2014, this compact, patented hybrid is known for its deep red, tuberculated leaves and is part of the Star Aloe series. Altman farms has it down!!! This is by far one of my favorites.

Kelly Griffin master breeder from Altman farms has the magic touch! ALOE “Purple Haze” is a product of a planned breeding program. The seed parent is the unpatented Aloe ‘Icycle II’. The pollen parent is the unpatented Aloe parvula x Aloe ‘Viper’. The crossing was made in December 2017 at a commercial greenhouse in Vista, California.

Opuntia cochenillifera variegata is native to Mexico and is well known for its common name “Cochineal Nopal Cactus”. This plant's botanical name is ‘Sunburst’ pretty stoked to have a few plants here. I look forward to trying a graft on some of my native Opuntia in the yard and see what they do!

Whipple cholla is very frost tolerant, found at higher elevations. Cylindropuntia whipplei is the primary species in northern Arizona and the Four Corners region. Up hiking above Farmington these low lying devils are all over!
