🏒 ICE BARN ADDITION & RENOVATION | PROJECT UPDATE

Progress continues at the Ice Barn Addition & Renovation Project!

Work on the east addition has been moving right along.

🔹 Excavation for the east addition is complete
🔹 Footings and foundation are in place
🔹 Foundation backfill is complete

Over the next phase of the project, crews will be working on:

🔹 Underground rough-ins within the east addition foundation
🔹 Completion of underground utilities
🔹 Sidewalks, curb and gutter
🔹 Asphalt paving of the west parking lot

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s exciting to see the progress as the project continues to take shape.

We appreciate everyone’s patience around the construction areas and look forward to sharing more updates along the way!

A big thank you to the Oahe Capitals for trusting us with this project. We’re proud to be a part of improving a facility that means so much to local hockey players, families, and our community.

🏗️ BIG THINGS ARE COMING TO FORT PIERRE!

We’re excited to share a look at one of our upcoming projects — a new mixed-use development featuring condo residences overlooking the Missouri River, with commercial spaces on the main level.
This project has been a long time coming, and we’re proud to bring it to life for the community. With an incredible location, river views, modern residential living, and new opportunities for businesses, we believe this development will be a great addition to the area.
We’re excited to be teaming up with VanDeWalle Architects on the design and development of this project. There’s a lot of work ahead, but we can’t wait to see this vision become a reality.

Check out this Redi-Rock retaining wall installed by Holzman Construction! This wall utilizes Limestone texture and is a great example of how radiuses look with the Redi- Rock system. Nice work!

The crew knocked this one out of the park! This started as an unusable space with a large hillside along this shop. Now it’s a useable space for extra parking with a great curb appeal!

🍕 PIZZA RANCH RENOVATION UPDATE! 🔨

Things are looking a little different inside Pizza Ranch!

The first phase of the renovation has been all about DEMOLITION — and as you can see, we’ve opened things up in a big way. Walls, finishes, fixtures and other existing components have been removed as we make way for the new layout.

Demo is now wrapping up, with removal of portions of the existing floor. Once that’s complete, we’ll begin installing the new underground utilities needed for the redesigned space.

It may look like a mess right now, but this is where the transformation starts! We’re excited to keep things moving and watch the new Pizza Ranch take shape over the coming weeks.

Thank You for Celebrating 45 Years With Us!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our customers, subcontractors, suppliers, employees, friends, and family who joined us in celebrating Midwest Construction’s 45th Anniversary — and to everyone who reached out with congratulations and well wishes.

For 45 years, we’ve been fortunate to work alongside some incredible people. Your trust, loyalty, partnerships, and friendships have helped make Midwest Construction what it is today. We truly appreciate everyone who has supported us, worked with us, and stuck with us throughout the years.

Celebrating this milestone gave us a chance to look back on where we started, the relationships we’ve built, and all the people who have been part of the journey. This installation was completed by KC Services in Sioux Falls, utilizing Ledgestone texture with limestone decorative top caps. The freestanding blocks below the caps provide continuous texture behind the wall to allow flexibility with grading without any exposed unfinished concrete.
