Working outdoors in Arizona means facing extreme temperatures, with some summer weeks averaging 110°F.

Make it a habit to check in with your buddy at least every two hours and speak up if something doesn't feel right. If you notice a coworker showing signs of heat stress, don't hesitate to notify a supervisor immediately.

Recently, Luis, our Foreman & Best Practices Training Manager, visited a few of our crews during their monthly safety lunch to share important reminders about working safely in the Arizona heat. The team reviewed how to recognize the signs of heat exhaustion and dehydration and the importance of looking out for one another on the job.
