Luke and Fernando are still teamed up, and knocking this huge new design/build project in central Utah out of the park. Staying right on the grading contractor's heels, and putting up some pretty work! Sounds like they'll be there awhile yet, with just over 25,000' of track to build, 18 Turnouts (switches), and 6 road crossings to build before this phase is completed. So we'll check back in a couple weeks, and see how it's going!

Team Rudy, with some assistance from Andrew and the Flashbutt Welders, kicked off this railroad rehabilitation job up in Wyoming not long ago. A project with many locations, challenges, and a combination of repair, replacement, and addition of even more track is on the docket for this customer. The Shop's been busy (aren't they always?), manufacturing this nice rail lifter for the tie and rail gang. This piece of equipment, lifts both rails a few inches, so that the tie plates can be installed on top of new ties, without removing the rail completely. But our shop adds their own touches, building this lifter on a platform, so that the crew can carry spare tie plates, water jugs, and all the misc. supplies a tie replacement program needs. Our guys in the field appreciate the care and communication from the shop, to get the equipment they need, built the way they need it. Nice work Shop!

Hope everyone got a chance to enjoy the Navajo Nation Fair in Window Rock last weekend! This week, starting today, is the Navajo County Fair and Rodeo in Holbrook, AZ. Navajo County is home to one of our oldest customers, and many of our employees, and we are proud to support the community by sponsoring this great event.

A paid trip to Las Vegas is usually fun, but mid summer isn't exactly the time to go if you're out working in the heat! Eddie's team recently spent a few days in Lost Wages Nevada, rebuilding this road crossing for a long time customer there. With no detour route available, it had to be done in halves, making it even more difficult. But they got it done, and done safely, well, and quickly! Thanks Eddie and team!
