ViaSun participated in a Crisis Communication training session at the Minnesota Captive Insurance Conference. The training provided a solid foundation for understanding what constitutes a crisis, how the media is likely to respond, and the importance of acting responsibly during the critical first hours of an incident.

Thanks to our proactive development of a comprehensive Crisis Management Plan (CMP), which includes quick-reference cards for on-site media responses, our team entered the conference well-prepared. Our training was put to the test during a live role-play scenario that simulated a fatal accident. When the media contact number from ViaSun's CMP was called, we followed the response protocol precisely, demonstrating clear processes, confident ex*****on, and strong internal alignment. The preparedness and structure of ViaSun's crisis response received formal commendation during the remainder of the session.

As a result, ViaSun was selected to lead additional workshops, showcasing our commitment to safety culture and crisis preparedness across the captive insurance community.

Employee appreciation goes beyond a single month; it embodies how, as Employee Owners, we partner and support each other daily.

During Employee Owner Appreciation Month, we gathered for a high-energy Appreciation Picnic that truly captured the heart of our employee-owned culture. From a crowd-pleasing lineup of food trucks to the sense of unity felt throughout the event, it was a powerful example of our connection together.

We were proud to recognize Employee Owners who lead the way in safety through accountability, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence. And the voices of our people said it all; when we take time to celebrate high-achieving individuals, it makes a real impact. The festive Christmas theme only added to that impact, with Santa making a special appearance that quickly became a favorite for Employee Owners and families alike. The smiles, laughter, and shared moments truly made it a day to remember.

And the appreciation didn’t stop there. Across the company, leaders spent time visiting jobsites, sharing meals at early morning breakfast, and finding small but meaningful ways to say thank you. Gratitude Beyond the Greens 💚🏌️

A few weeks have passed since our ViaSun Foundation Golf For Kids tournament, and we’re still reflecting on what an extraordinary day it was. This year’s event reached new heights thanks to the heart and care of our supporters who showed up with generosity, enthusiasm, and community.

To our sponsors, volunteers, players, and the amazing team at Papago Golf Course, thank you. Because of your support, we’re proud to share a meaningful milestone: this year, the ViaSun Foundation expanded from two to three charity partners, welcoming the Phoenix Boys Choir alongside HopeKids and Ryan House.

Swinging for the fences with 5 years of Employee Ownership! ⚾

Our ESOP All-Stars event at Chase Field was a grand slam! From pre-game celebrations to a Diamondbacks game under the lights, this was a night filled with pride, teamwork, and ownership.

We tipped our caps to our fully vested Employee Owners—the real MVPs—and celebrated our very first retiree receiving a fully vested award. Talk about going out on top! Jason Wellman, our ESOP mentor, joined us to keep our ownership spirit right in the strike zone, reminding and educating us about what it means to be an Employee Owner.

The best part, though, was seeing the energy from our team. One Employee Owner called it “the best ESOP event, by far, in the 3 years I’ve attended.” Another shared how powerful it was “seeing the retiree be acknowledged, and the pride on everyone’s faces.” And perhaps the biggest takeaway? “All in all, it felt like a TEAM event.”

Five years in, and we’re just getting warmed up. Here’s to hitting even more home runs together as Employee Owners.

This week, we join the industry in recognizing Construction Su***de Prevention Week during National Su***de Prevention Month.

The construction industry has the second-highest rate of su***de in the U.S. While the factors that lead to su***de are complex, research shows that loneliness can put someone at greater risk, which is why building community matters. Employment is one way people find connection, and together we can help strengthen that sense of community.

Stay aware. Show you care.

Notice when someone isn’t themselves, ask how they’re doing, and really listen to the answer. Let them know they have support to lean on when times are tough. Save 988 in your phone, and don’t hesitate to reach out to HR or a leader if you see someone struggling.

Think about the ways you want people to show up for you, then be that person for those around you. Together, we can create a stronger, safer community where everyone feels supported and valued.

Last spring, we opened our doors for Bring Your Kids to Work Day, giving Employee Owners’ children a playful, behind-the-scenes peek at life at ViaSun.

From the moment our little builders arrived, they suited up in pint-sized PPE—bright safety vests included—ready to take on the day like mini-superheroes. At the “Super Safety Spot,” they learned how the right gear keeps crews safe while getting the job done.

Hands-on fun was everywhere: mixing “Yummy Asphalt” treats, crafting creatures and shapes at the Concrete Creation Station (microwave magic), and climbing safely aboard the select, big machines that fix our roads. Favorites included the backhoe, paving machine, cement truck, ride-on line obliterator, and the slurry truck.

Fun fact: Slurry seal acts as a protective coating for streets. It’s smooth, safe, and a little like chocolate pudding… but not for snacking!
