Position Details:
General Acrylics is currently seeking a full-time Construction Project Manager to join our growing team!
The General Acrylics construction project manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of construction projects. The Project Manager will work directly with our in-office team and on-site construction crew as well as clients, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
This is a full-time salary position with varying work hours. Hours will depend on time of year and project type. Time will be spent both in-office as well as on-site. This position requires some traveling both out of town and occasionally out of state to supervise and manage construction projects. Salary will vary depending on previous experience and skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and update project schedules and coordinate with project superintendents.
• Monitor and control costs
• Respond to RFIs
• Review POs and subcontract agreements
• Obtain project permitting
• Order and schedule materials and equipment needed to complete projects
• Process and monitor change orders
• Attend weekly company construction meetings and report on schedules, project updates, and future scheduling.
• Communicate and consult with sales staff to review projects and evaluate site conditions
• Communicate with clients, owners, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Conduct pre-construction meetings on-site to assess site readiness, such as location, staking, drainage, etc.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors and owners to ensure projects are finished on time and within budget
• Track progress with status reports and documents in the job files
• Ensure that punch list items are completed in a timely manner
• Complete project documentation as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid driver’s license
• U.S. citizenship
• Background Check and Drug Test
• Construction experience
• Ability to follow construction systems, check lists, schedule work, and update project documents
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to create and maintain schedules and meet project deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a busy environment
