Shermco shortens a bus repair from weeks to days. Lead time on a new bus can exceed 16 weeks.

In only 10 days, from start to finish, Shermco fabricated the bus transition boxes shown so the contractor could run conduit and wire between the transitions and return the power to the affected portions of the building. While most of that time was due to scheduling issues. This saved our client downtime and cost.

To replace all busway and switches is not a cost-effective or time-effective proposition. Bus failures occur from lack of electrical maintenance and are very costly and common! In this case, maintenance would have detected loose torque at the joints and the fact that at some point water invasion of the bus had occurred.

Commercial buildings everywhere around the world and we see bus failures multiple times every year.
