This past week, we had the honor of celebrating the 31st Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament held in memory of Sky Blu Underwood. After losing Sky to cancer in 1994, a scholarship program was established at the University of Arizona to support students pursuing Landscape Architecture and Horticulture. In partnership with the Arizona Landscape Contractors Association, this tournament has continued to grow and make a lasting impact on the future of our industry.

The event at Anthem Golf & Country Club was an incredible success, with 224 golfers coming together to support education and the next generation of landscape professionals. Through this tournament, we proudly continue the legacy of Sky Blu and Rick while investing in the future of landscaping.

Construction Safety Week serves as an important reminder that safety is everyone’s responsibility and something that must stay top of mind every day in the field.

This year’s theme, “All In Together,” reinforces the importance of recognizing hazards early, communicating with crews, wearing proper PPE, and taking the extra time to work safely.

With temperatures continuing to rise across Arizona, hydration awareness and heat safety are also becoming a major focus for our field teams heading into the summer months.

We appreciate the crews and leaders who continue making safety a priority every day.
