Busy scheduling crews, checking material orders, answering homeowner questions, reviewing estimates, keeping projects moving, chasing down paperwork, and somehow still finding time to post this Reel. 😂

POV: trying to balance being a mom, working, keeping up with a business, answering the phone, scheduling jobs, handling customers, marketing, remembering everything for everyone… and somehow still being a functioning human. 😂

The truth is, behind the roofing posts, estimates, phone calls and “we’ve got it handled” is a mom who is constantly trying to figure out how to give 100% to two things that both mean so much to me.

I love what I do. I love being a part of our family business and getting to help grow something that’s taken so many years to build. I’m proud of the work we do and the reputation we’ve built.

But I’m also a mom first. ❤️

And some days balancing the two feels easy… and other days I’m answering work calls while thinking about what needs to be packed for preschool, responding to emails while making dinner, planning content during nap time, and wondering if I gave enough of myself to either one that day.

I don’t think there’s really such a thing as perfectly balancing work and motherhood. I think you just keep showing up, doing the best you can, giving yourself a little grace… and occasionally staying about half a step away from crying. 😂

So if you call Anderson Roofing and hear a kid in the background, or see me posting a roofing reel while simultaneously doing mom life… just know there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes over here. 🤍

And I wouldn’t trade either job for the world.

Sometimes I’m just a girl… and sometimes the contractor in me slips out. 😂👷🏻‍♀️

My dad has been roofing for almost 40 years, which means I’ve quite literally been around roofers and construction since the day I was born. I grew up hearing jobsite talk, roofing terminology, and probably way more opinions about ‘how a roof should be done’ than any little girl ever needed to know. 😂

So if the contractor in me comes out every once in a while… just know I really never stood a chance. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤭

Getting ghosted is a red flag 🚩 whether it’s by a date, a client… or your contractor. 😂

Contractor red flags we hear about WAY too often:
🚩 Stops answering calls/texts
🚩 Doesn’t show up when they say they will
🚩 Vague estimates or surprise charges
🚩 Wants a huge payment before work starts
🚩 No clear timeline or communication
🚩 Disappears the second there’s a problem

Your contractor shouldn’t leave you wondering if you’re ever going to hear from them again. 👻
