Kitchell was honored to join the Contra Costa Community College District and our AEC partners in supporting Measure G—helping raise more than $90,000 to invest in safer, more accessible, and more reliable learning environments for future students.

Since 2020, our partnership with CCCCD has included projects across Diablo Valley College and beyond, from campus safety and ADA upgrades to student support spaces and infrastructure modernization.

Last week, Kitchell teams observed National Construction Safety Week with stand-downs across our projects.

On May 6, we also joined the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls, highlighting one of construction’s most serious risks.

Kitchell is proud to support the City of Tempe Government on a CMAR-delivered Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Treatment upgrade, partnering with Archer Western to implement advanced filtration systems within an active water treatment facility.

This project includes upgrades to solids handling, filter backwash systems, and the finished water pump station, along with structural repairs and concrete rehabilitation. Improvements to raw water influent gates and chemical dosing channel gates are also enhancing safety and reliability.

Together, these efforts are strengthening critical infrastructure and advancing water quality to meet evolving regulatory standards.
