Good Morning. 🇺🇸🙏
Today is not an ordinary day.
Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, America woke up to a morning that would forever change our nation. We remember the innocent lives that were taken. We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger instead of away from it. We remember families who said goodbye that morning without knowing it would be the last time. And we remember something else. For a period after 9/11, Americans seemed to forget what divided us. Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers prayed together. Churches filled. American flags appeared everywhere. We were reminded that underneath our differences, we were still one nation. This week also marks one year since the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk. Whether someone agreed with every political position he held isn’t what I want this morning’s message to be about. Charlie was a husband, a father, a man of faith, and an American who was willing to publicly stand for what he believed. His death should remind all of us that disagreement must never become hatred, and political differences should never cause us to forget the value of a human life. Our country could use that reminder right now.
Scripture tells us:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
Maybe the best way we can honor those we’ve lost isn’t simply by remembering how they died. It’s by thinking about how we choose to live. Love your family. Pray for our country. Respect people you disagree with. Stand firmly for what you believe without allowing hatred into your heart. Help someone who needs you. And never take tomorrow for granted. Today, let’s remember the fallen of September 11th, pray for Charlie Kirk’s family and all families grieving someone they love, and ask God to bring healing, wisdom, courage, and unity back to this nation.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
May God comfort those who mourn, protect those who serve, guide our leaders, and continue to bless the United States of America.
God Bless. 🙏🇺🇸
