Introducing Eric Garcia, our new Director of Land Development.

Eric Garcia has spent a decade turning raw land into thriving communities; and he's just getting started.

As the newly appointed Director of Land Development at Silver Fern Companies and Otago Development, Eric brings 11+ years of hands-on experience in acquisition, entitlements, vertical construction, and large-scale residential development.

Most recently at Risewell Homes, he sourced and underwrote new land deals while driving schedule and financial performance. Before that, at Shea Homes, he oversaw $400M in budgets and cash flow across 12 concurrent projects in six states.

Equally at home in a strategy meeting or on a job site, we're thrilled to have him on the team. Welcome, Eric!

A huge shoutout to our new friends M&M Home Solutions! 🙌

This morning, one of our team members found themselves stranded on the side of the highway with a flat tire on the way to work. Without hesitation, Vito and Eddie from M&M Home Solutions stepped up and saved the day.

What could have been a stressful and potentially dangerous situation was quickly turned into a safe and manageable morning; thanks to two outstanding individuals who went above and beyond.

Vito and Eddie, thank you. You turned a bad morning into a great story. Andres Molina you have a great crew!

Silver Fern Companies and Otago Development proudly announce the promotion of John Nagel to President. Having been an integral part of the team for 12 years, John has excelled in various roles, including project management, estimating, pre-construction, and most recently, as Senior Vice President.

"This promotion acknowledges the significant contributions John has made in guiding our operational excellence and delivering value to our customers and team members," said Stephen Ochoa. "John has played a pivotal role in crafting a compelling vision for the future of Silver Fern and Otago to support our projected growth. As we advance and strengthen our position as a leading provider of a full service land development consultant through Silver Fern Companies, and also providing turnkey residential development through Otago Development, John's leadership will be crucial."

John Nagel expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities provided by this company over the years and inspired by the talent and leadership at every level. I am confident in our team’s abilities and excited about the future for our people, clients, and trade partners."
John holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa.

Stephen Ochoa was hired in 1998, rose to a Vice President role in 2014, became a Partner in 2017, lead the companies as President in 2019 and will continue as CEO, made the announcement. Stephen will serve in an advisory role for John over the next several years.

We are thrilled that our involvement in the 'Phoenix Zoo Parking Lots Restoration & Expansion Project' has been recognised as a finalist in the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence Awards program presented by SRP.

The project consisted of constructing a new lighted parking lot, including curb, asphalt and drainage improvements, sidewalks, shade canopy, and landscaping located within papago park, a city of phoenix regional park.
