DESERT HOUSE | FROM IDEA TO ARCHITECTURE
Architecture begins with an idea—not a building.
The original sketch for Desert House established the essential moves: a long horizontal form, deep shade, controlled transparency, and a building that sits quietly within the desert rather than competing with it.
What matters is not how closely a finished building resembles a sketch. It is whether the original idea remains intact after structure, systems, materials, budgets, detailing and construction have all had their influence.
With Desert House, the first lines are still there.
The sketch was never about appearance. It was about intent.
