The last event at 422 Framing & Gallery will be held this Saturday, April 25, 2026 with an open gallery/anniversary celebration from 10 AM to 2 PM. John Kitts, fine art photographer and owner of 422 Framing & Gallery, has designed the month-long, four public programs designed to highlight the fundamentals of film photography with this last event celebrating community. The event is open to the public and is free. Please be our guest and stop by the the Gallery located at 316 Colfax Ave, Grass Valley, CA. We will have an array of John Kitts' beautiful black and white, large format photographies along with light refreshments and a big thank you for welcoming 422 Framing & Gallery to the community. 422 Framing & Gallery will celebrate the art and craft of film photography throughout April 2026 with a special Photography Month series featuring free weekly talks, guest speakers, and an anniversary celebration. Led by John Kitts, fine art photographer and owner of 422 Framing & Gallery, the month-long event includes four public programs designed to highlight the fundamentals of film photography.

This Saturday, April 18, 2026 John will host guest speaker, Charlie Osborn, Owner of Charlie Osborn Studio in Grass Valley, CA. This for a one-hour discussion will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the 422 Gallery, located at 316 Colfax Avenue in Grass Valley. For over 20 years Charlie has been making high quality fine art reproduction prints and high quality photo prints on a variety of substrates (canvas, photo papers, watercolor papers) and canvas mounting for artists and photographers, beginners and professional alike. Charlie's presentation will focus on print reproduction processes, photo restoration, and the transition from film to digital printing.

422 Framing & Gallery will celebrate the art and craft of film photography throughout April 2026 with a special Photography Month series featuring free weekly talks, guest speakers, and an anniversary celebration. Led by John Kitts, fine art photographer and owner of 422 Framing & Gallery, the month-long event includes four public programs designed to highlight the fundamentals of film photography.

Each Saturday in April, John and invited guests will host one-hour discussions from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the gallery, located at 316 Colfax Avenue in Grass Valley with the first one being held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 1:00–2:00 PM at the gallery. This discussion will focus on Film Photography & the 4x5 Camera which includes a demonstration covering large-format cameras, a brief history of film photography, film types and processing, and darkroom printing. The event is open to the public and is free. Stop by the Gallery and enjoy a day all about film and beautiful images. #422
