TOTD: Clean your Caretaker screens! If you have a Jandy Caretaker in-floor cleaning system in your pool, you'll notice an elbow with two unions right before your valve. Inside this elbow there's a small screen meant to capture any debris that makes it past the filter.

This customer called us out about a leak on their cleaner pump. We had originally replaced their seals, seal plate, impeller and diffuser last November, though it seems the shaft seal has failed and will need to be replaced again. Luckily the customer caught it early and we'll have it taken care of in no time!

As we move into the off-season here in the valley, it is important to stay current with your pool's filtration system maintenance. Filter cleaning is an especially important step of maintaining your pool's pristine condition year-round 🏊

Q: When should I clean my filters? 🤔

A: We typically recommend cleaning your filters every 4-6 months, but a good rule of thumb is to watch your pressure gauge. When the pressure reading increases by 8-10 psi from its starting point, that's a good indication your filters are due for a cleaning. ✅
