We have an immediate opening for a Landscape Construction Superintendent to work in the landscape construction division of our Phoenix Division. We are looking for candidates that are passionate to work for a fast-paced, growing company that is privately owned. Candidates must have knowledge of all aspects of construction and effectively manage multiple crews. This position will manage field operations for commercial site development projects from inception through completion. This is a full time position and salary will be based on experience and knowledge in managing projects.
Superintendent Duties:
• Supervises multiple landscape projects.
• Reads and follows plans, material lists, and guidelines while meeting necessary timelines.
• Completes change orders authorized by client and management.
• Maintains and completes daily time log for work completed.
• Assist field employees with technical tasks.
• Requests materials for all landscape field operations.
• Enforces all company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts field training of landscape construction personnel.
• Mediates personnel, equipment and customer problems under direction of management.
• Promptly reviews and approves daily timesheets submitted by Foremen for accuracy and completeness.
• Identifies extra work (AWA) on projects, prepares and submits change order requests to estimating department for processing.
Superintendent Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in Landscape Construction
• 3+ in a leadership role (Foreman or higher)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
• Must have strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand plans, material lists, guidelines and meet timelines.
• Must have experience with Irrigation Systems, and plant Desert Southwest landscape material.
• Must have excellent oral communication skills.
• Must have previous experience managing people, planning and organizing.
• Must have valid driver's license with a good driving record
