Both have continuously demonstrated strong technical knowledge and exemplary skills while always making safety a priority. As severe winter storms hit multiple areas throughout the United States, millions of people will be affected. Extreme cold, freezing rain, and snow are just some of the risks you may be facing. Here are some important tips to keep you and your loved ones safe:

-STAY INSIDE when possible, but if you have to go outside dress properly and watch for signs of frostbite and hypothermia.
-DON'T DRIVE UNLESS YOU MUST as storms can cause dangerous road conditions. If you must drive, plan your route, slow down, and keep a full tank of gas and supplies in your vehicle.
-STAY SAFE DURING POWER OUTAGES by knowing how to use a generator and allowing faucets to drips so pipes won't freeze.
-KEEP YOUR HOUSE WARM by closing vents and doors to rooms you are not using and keeping window coverings like blinds or curtains open during the day to take advantage of sunlight, and closing them at night to keep heat from escaping.
-CONSIDER CHECKING ON YOUR NEIGHBORS, especially older adults and those with disabilities that may need extra assistance getting prepared.
