On May 14, 1976, a benefit concert was held at the Capital Centre in Landover, MD. to raise money for Jerry Brown’s presidential campaign. The superstar lineup included, left to right, David Lindley, Don Henley, Don Felder, Linda Ronstadt, Glenn Frey, Jerry Brown, Randy Meisner, Dan Fogelberg, Joe Walsh and Jackson Browne. Rolling Stone described the lineup as “the cream of the Southern California rock scene”. The concert raised $75,000. Ronstadt was dating Brown at that time. 🎶
