MYTH.

Hot weather, wind and direct sunlight can all increase evaporation, but consistently losing water shouldn’t always be dismissed as normal.

If you’re regularly having to top up your pool, it could be a sign of:

• A leak in the pool
• Leaking pipework
• An issue with the equipment
• Water loss around fittings or the pool structure

If your water level seems to be dropping more than usual, it’s worth getting it checked rather than simply continuing to top it up. Give us a call, 480-519-9007!

Some things might seem like common sense or even seem like they’d help, but they can actually do more harm than good.

1. Household cleaners
Dish soap, laundry detergent, and other household products can throw off your water chemistry.
2. Too Much Pool Chemical
More isn’t always better. Over-treating your pool can damage equipment and surfaces.
3. DIY Chemicals
Stick with products made specifically for pools. The wrong chemical can cause costly damage.

Green pool water is usually a sign of algae growth, often caused by low chlorine levels, poor circulation, or an imbalance in your pool chemistry.

A few common issues:
• Low or inconsistent chlorine
• Poor water circulation
• Dirty or clogged filters
• Unbalanced pH
• Not brushing or cleaning the pool regularly

Simply adding more chlorine may not solve the problem if the underlying issue isn't addressed.
