Safety is paramount at Wang, and this week we will be sharing safety tips on proper hard hat selection and inspection.

Hard hats are a critical part of personal protective equipment, but they should never replace engineering controls that eliminate overhead hazards.

Keep these best practices in mind:

Wear a hard hat that meets the ANSI Z89.1 standard.
Choose the correct type and class for your work environment.
Inspect your hard hat before each use for cracks, damage, and wear to the suspension system.
Replace any hard hat that has sustained an impact or shows signs of damage, even if the damage is not visible.

The right head protection, combined with regular inspections and proper jobsite practices, helps reduce the risk of injury and keeps everyone safe.
