With wire st*****rs, keeping the blades and stripping surfaces free of dirt and residue helps maintain the precision needed to strip insulation without unnecessarily damaging the conductor.

Routine maintenance is simple:
• Wipe the blades clean after use
• Remove debris and buildup
• Inspect the cutting edges for wear or damage
• Use lubricating oil on pivot points and moving parts
• Use the correct stripping gauge for the conductor

This week the Wang team is highlighting the importance of carbon monoxide awareness and prevention. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and invisible gas that can become deadly when fuel-burning equipment is used improperly or in poorly ventilated areas.

Keep these best practices in mind:

1.) Never burn charcoal indoors or use a stove to heat your home.

2.) Never operate vehicles, generators, lifts, or other combustion engines in garages, buildings, or poorly ventilated areas.

3.) Have gas-burning appliances and heaters regularly inspected by a professional.

4.) Install carbon monoxide alarms on every floor of your home or building.

5.) If you suspect CO exposure, get to fresh air immediately and seek medical attention.

Carbon monoxide can be difficult to detect without an alarm. Proper equipment, regular inspections, and awareness of potential hazards can help protect everyone at home and on the job.
