We recently wrapped up this 725 sq. ft. mechanic’s shop for Option 1 Diesel & Performance, installing a custom Domino flake blend with subtle purple accents to match their branding.

For a shop that sees heavy equipment, hot tires, oil, chemicals, and constant traffic, durability was the priority. We finished this system with a polyaspartic basecoat and UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, giving them a floor that’s as tough as it looks and easy to keep clean.

Some garages are built to park cars.

This one was built to showcase them.

The black and white Range Rover SVRs look right at home sitting on this custom two-tone floor. The Domino flake complements both vehicles perfectly, while the Basalt walkways create just enough contrast to elevate the entire space.

Luxury vehicles deserve more than bare concrete—they deserve a space that reflects the investment sitting on top of it.

From full mechanical concrete preparation and an 18-mil moisture v***r barrier, to a custom two-tone flake system, UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, premium paint, and custom trim work, every detail of this garage was designed with one goal in mind: creating a space that’s just as impressive as the machines it protects.

It’s pretty surreal knowing I used to detail these vehicles years ago… and now I’ve had the opportunity to build the garage they call home. That’s what earning a client’s trust over time looks like.

Some projects are about more than transforming concrete—they’re about creating a space with a story.

This 1,600 sq. ft. garage was finished in our Shoreline flake system with a custom gold glitter blend, giving the floor incredible depth and a subtle luxury sparkle that truly comes alive in the light.

What made this project even more special was collaborating with local artist Price Goodman | Muralist , who hand-painted an incredible 1776 mural spanning the client’s entire wall. Combining high-end floor coatings with custom artwork created a one-of-a-kind garage that reflects the owner’s personality from floor to ceiling.

We’re proud to support talented local artists and can’t wait to collaborate with Price on many more projects in the future.

Luxury is built from the ground up. 🏡✨

This Desert Mountain garage wasn’t just coated—it was completely transformed.

Every project starts the right way: full mechanical grinding to remove contamination, open the concrete, and create the proper profile for maximum adhesion. From there, we installed an 18-mil moisture v***r barrier, giving this floor an added layer of long-term protection before applying our custom two-tone polyaspartic flooring system.

🔹 Upper walkways: Light Gray base with Basalt flake
🔹 Main floor: Light Gray base with Domino flake

Once both systems were complete, we sealed the entire floor with a premium UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, creating one seamless, durable finish while allowing each flake blend to stand out beautifully.

But we didn’t stop at the floor.

✔️ 5” baseboards installed throughout the garage
✔️ Entire garage primed with KILZ
✔️ Walls finished in Dunn-Edwards Paloma Gray (Platinum Series)
✔️ Ceiling finished in Dunn-Edwards Swiss Coffee, creating a bright, clean space that reflects the LED lighting perfectly and makes the floor truly come alive.

This project was especially meaningful to me.

Years ago, I was detailing the exotic cars that sat inside this garage. Today, I had the privilege of transforming the garage those same vehicles now call home. MEET THE OWNER

My name is Nick Schaefer, owner of Pristine Custom Coatings.

I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but moved to Cave Creek, Arizona when I was just two years old, so Arizona is all I’ve ever really known. Growing up here taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and building relationships that last.

My entrepreneurial journey started in the automotive industry with Pristine Mobile Auto Spa. Over the years, that company grew into one of the Valley’s premier mobile detailing businesses, giving me the opportunity to work on some of the most incredible vehicle collections in Arizona—and even some of the finest collections in the country. Through that experience, I learned that true success comes from paying attention to the details and treating every project like it’s your own.

As much as I loved the automotive world, I wanted to build something that allowed me to transform spaces where people spend time with their families, friends, and hobbies. That’s what led me to start Pristine Custom Coatings.

From day one, my goal was simple: bring the same level of quality, communication, and customer experience that built my detailing business into the garage and home improvement industry. Whether it’s a garage floor coating, custom cabinets, slat walls, overhead storage, lighting, or a complete garage makeover, I want every client to walk into their space and feel proud of it.

Recently, life has been especially rewarding. I welcomed my first daughter, Lyla, into the world and purchased my first home in Desert Hills, Arizona. Becoming a father has given me even more motivation to build something meaningful—not just for my family, but for every client who trusts us with their home.
