The mums you buy every fall brown out after the first hard frost, then get tossed with the rest of the cleanup. Pennsylvania gardeners who swap them for a handful of native wildflowers say the same thing, the color comes back on its own and gets tougher every year while the garden center run stops for good.

The Borough planters are in place on Washington Ave., United Methodist Church, borough hall, and The Hut (Habitat for Humanity). Mother Nature is watering them this weekend!
A huge thank you to Washington DPW, without whose help this would not have been possible ❤️
Thank you, also, to The Washington BID & Kristy Romanowski for allowing me the opportunity to add some beauty and joy to the downtown experience.
