The post was fine. The way it was attached to the beam wasnโ€™t.

The bracket was installed turned 90 degrees from where it should be. It stuck out, so the trim couldnโ€™t cover it. It also didnโ€™t work as a connection, because this mounting method doesnโ€™t hold the way a post-to-beam bracket is supposed to.

We redid it the right way. The bracket is turned correctly and the post is secured. The trim panels now fit and cover it cleanly.

Itโ€™s a small detail, but it decides whether the connection holds or not.

Every contractorโ€™s Bermuda Triangle: the tape measure you set down for two seconds.

Gone. Forever. No explanation.

New pressure-treated decking, installed right. Frame taped before boards went down โ€” the way itโ€™s supposed to be done. Finished with stain once the wood was ready.

No shortcuts. Just done properly.

This IPE deck had faded to a dull, washed-out gray - years of sun exposure with no maintenance will do that even to the toughest hardwood available.

We sanded the entire surface down and finished it with a specialized stain built specifically for IPE. The difference speaks for itself: rich, deep tone, tight grain, and a finish that's going to protect this deck for years to come.

IPE is one of the best decking materials money can buy. It just needs the right care to actually look like it.

Trish said it best in her review: the work was immaculate and the result is absolutely beautiful.

If your IPE deck has faded and lost its color, don't replace it - restore it.

Thatโ€™s the standard, every time.

AI can do a lot.
But it still canโ€™t build your deck. ๐Ÿ˜

Good craftsmanship isnโ€™t going anywhere.

This IPE staircase looked fine on the surface. Underneath, it was a different story.

Riser heights inconsistent - the bottom step taller than the rest, out of code. Boards held on by a single screw. And the frame? Set directly in the ground, rotting from below, leaving the whole staircase unstable.

We rebuilt the frame the right way and kept what didnโ€™t need replacing - the IPE decking and railings. That wood is expensive and built to last decades with the right care, so there was no reason to tear it out.

New frame. Same beautiful IPE. Solid and safe now.

Too high. Sitting in soil. Rotted out. Rebuilt.

This staircase had two major problems.

The top riser was roughly 3 inches higher than the rest - enough to make every trip up or down feel awkward and create a real safety issue.

At the bottom, the stair structure had been sitting directly against the soil. No concrete landing. Years of moisture exposure had taken their toll, and the wood was badly deteriorated.

We tore out the damaged sections, rebuilt the staircase, corrected the riser heights, and raised the stair run to create a much more consistent step pattern.

Then we added a concrete slab at the base to improve support and separate the rebuilt stair structure from the ground.

Better geometry. Better support. Safer stairs.

Start to finish, done right.
