Back in 2014 we were presented with a challenge.
The kitchen in this historic home was very narrow, the stove was tight against cabinets. By turning a wall into an arch made of cabinetry we were able to gain extra space. Another wall in the middle of the house was filled with ductwork. We were able to create another paneled arch that hid the ductwork but introduced some period character.

Real talk about matte surfaces:

Everything in this bathroom has a healthy sheen to it. I'm not going to show a beautiful matte tile and then talk smack about it. But there is one thing you need to know about matte surfaces:

They are harder to keep clean.

Technology has come a long way. We apply amazing sealers to tile, matte porcelain is a thing and performs pretty well. But at the end of the day a glossy surface is not going to hold onto grime the same, and you might have to sign a waiver if you love that matte white quartz counter.
