🏗️ Did you know? Slump is one of the most important tests for fresh concrete, helping crews verify consistency before placement. 🚚

Concrete Slump Test

The Concrete Slump Test is a simple field test used to measure the workability and consistency of fresh concrete. Concrete is placed in a slump cone in layers, compacted with a tamping rod, and the cone is lifted vertically. The amount the concrete settles (slumps) indicates its workability.

Low Slump: Stiff concrete, less workable.

Medium Slump: Suitable for most reinforced concrete works.

High Slump: More workable concrete.

Collapse Slump: Too wet; mix may be unsuitable.
