High Quality Biosolids Project This is the website to get information about biosolids-based soil products, a super way to get recycled nutrients for your yard.

We feature, too, the findings of the research project High Quality Biosolids from Wastewater. The High Quality Biosolids Research Project defines four tasks as our goal for the 3 year project.
1. Define the criteria that render a biosolids as a high quality product and evaluate selected (exemplary and typical) biosolids currently being produced in the US to assess characteristics that would quali

fy (or disqualify) such products for “High Quality” designation;
2. Document the efficacy of high quality biosolids in meeting product requirements, and address challenges that could encourage (or limit) their use in urban applications;
3. Develop a guidance tool for identifying and assessing markets for high quality biosolids based on case studies of successful programs, and test the guidance in the Washington DC regional area; and
4. Create a community of partners in high quality biosolids practice and use social media to engage that community and a broader audience of interested parties. Some of the facilities surveyed during this study are on this map:
